It is my great honour, on behalf of the United Church Women, to welcome you to the official website of Lady Ibiam Girls’ Secondary School, Enugu.
Our school was founded in 1965 by Lady Eudora Akanu Ibiam, the wife of the first Governor of the Eastern Region. Her vision was clear: to create a place where the Nigerian girl child would receive not just schooling, but quality education for a meaningful life. That vision remains the heartbeat of our school today.
Lady Ibiam Girls’ is managed by the United Church Women — a body of dedicated, God-fearing women volunteers from different churches. Our mission is simple: to raise girls who are academically excellent, morally upright, and totally developed — body, mind, and spirit.
Our Motto: “Education for Life” guides everything we do. We believe in the all-round, total development of every child. Here, every girl child has a place to grow academically, physically, creatively, and spiritually.
